The Mirror and the Radio

The spiritual premise of this protocol is that experienced reality reflects the inner state through which it is received. In its language, what appears as physical reality reflects the vibrational frequency maintained within consciousness.
Here, a dimension means a state of consciousness: a way of being through which life is encountered. Frequency names the maintained quality of that state, including its orientation, convictions, and stability. These terms belong to the guide’s contemplative vocabulary.
A radio offers a useful comparison. Its tuning determines the station it receives. In the same way, the protocol asks the practitioner to notice the inner condition through which experience is continually received and interpreted.
Someone may say that they want to be respected while quietly living from the conviction that they are always overlooked. They approach a conversation already braced for dismissal. Their attention searches for confirmation of the identity they carry. A spoken wish and an inhabited conviction can point in different directions.
The mirror in this practice is impartial. It is concerned with what is deeply and dominantly occupied, rather than what is briefly requested. This is why a few attractive words cannot substitute for a change in one’s way of being.
Begin by recognizing the state you actually inhabit. Notice the expectation present before a conversation, the bodily readiness before a decision, and the identity that seems to require constant protection.
Use ordinary moments. When someone disagrees with you, what immediately becomes threatened? When an opportunity appears, what do you assume about your place in it? When nobody is watching, what identity continues to speak?
These observations reveal the tuning you return to. Receive them without turning the exercise into an accusation. The next movement is the opportunity to return.
